Cleaning A 3,400 space Parking Garage in 10 days

Newpoint Services recently undertook the important task of pressure washing at a prominent university medical parking facility in Nashville, Tennessee. A sprawling facility boasting approximately 3,400 spaces, totaling over one million square feet! Before diving into the project, we meticulously planned every detail in collaboration with the Director of Parking, the Maintenance Team, and the Director of Security. We aimed to ensure smooth operations and minimal disruption to the daily flow of the garage as it would still be in full operation during our process.

After careful consideration of our resources and the garage's layout, we made the strategic decision to divide the work into 10 sections. This approach deviated from previous attempts made by other service providers which segmented the project into 21 sections and proved to be the most efficient and practical for our team.

Our carefully crafted plan outlined a timeline of 10 working days for completion—a stark contrast to the two months it took the previous service providers to finish the job. The plan kicked off with a three-day load-in phase, during which equipment was delivered, chemicals were prepared, and a comprehensive walk-through with the client ensured alignment on objectives.

Armed with a Cyclone CY5500 machine, four trailer-mounted pressure washing machines, and a dedicated team of six associates, we embarked on our nightly routine at 7 pm. Each evening commenced with a team meeting to delineate the areas of focus and address any emerging concerns. By adhering to this structured approach and maintaining open lines of communication, we successfully navigated through and successfully maintained our planned schedule.

To ensure transparency and address any issues promptly, we implemented a system of morning email recaps highlighting the previous night's activities and addressing any lingering concerns. This proactive communication strategy not only fostered trust with our client but also allowed us to swiftly accommodate last-minute adjustments while staying on track to meet our deadlines.

Throughout the duration of the project, we received commendations from several stakeholders for the remarkable speed and quality of our work, a welcomed encouragement for our team on such a large endeavor. The culmination of our efforts resulted in not only a pristine garage but also a testament to our professionalism and commitment to excellence. Such was the satisfaction with our performance that led to an agreement to extend our services to include a second garage in the upcoming year.
